Supporting STEM Education in Northern New Mexico
Bette Korber of Theoretical Biology and Biophysics (T-6) discusses strategies for designing vaccines against HIV and Ebola during a Santa Fe Science Cafe for Young Thinkers presentation at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, in the Education Annex of the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, 123 Grant Ave., in Santa Fe. The talk is geared to ages 13-19 but is open to all.
Korber will talk about the variability of the HIV virus and why it has been difficult to design an HIV vaccine, progress on the vaccine front, as well as ideas offering new hope for better treatment outcomes using immunotherapy to treat HIV infections. Light refreshments will be served.
The Bradbury Science Museum Association supports and inspires learners of all ages in Northern New Mexico and beyond through STEM Education.
